Product Overview:

The Mark I Cordless DustGuard Blind represents Levolor’s top quality blind for exposed headrail applications. Engineered for both durability and aesthetics, the Mark I   Cordless DustGuard Blind combines a valance-free headrail design with a concealed mounting system to provide an overall clean, finished look.

The DustGuard feature is a permanent paint process that disrupts the natural static attraction of dust particles to the slat. By removing the primary reason blinds attract dust, a 50-70 percent reduction in accumulation can be achieved. Less dust means less maintenance and a cleaner, more professional		 appearance.  The valance-free headrail is made of roll-formed corrosion-resistant Tomized steel and has a crowned underside profile to prevent light leakage. The working drum mechanism contains acetyl polymer bushings to reduce friction and provide smooth operation. The added feature of the concealed mounting system provides a clean finished look and eliminates the extra cost of an extruded pocket mullion. The bottomrail is fully enclosed with a color compatible bottom bumper designed to prevent marring of the windowsill and mullions.  The nominal .0085" thick slats are made of high grade magnesium aluminum alloy which provides superior strength and resiliency, guaranteeing a quality look for the life of the blind.  The Mark I DustGuard Blind has 15.7 slats per foot to insure tight closure and superior light control. The exclusive Guardian Tilter disengaging clutch mechanism eliminates over rotation of the tilt wand and protects the tilt mechanism against breakage.

The Mark I DustGuard Blind is offered in a large selection of popular colors and options. The SheerView perforation option provides a unique see-through feature, reducing solar heat gain up to 42% when compared to a fully opened blind while optimizing the exterior view and maximizing light/glare control.

Headrail: .025" thick Tomized steel, 1 ½" high x I 5/8" wide, a valance-free design and a crowned underside profile to prevent light leakage. Polyethylene headrail detailing. All hardware enclosed in the headrail.

Guardian Tilter: .042" Tomized steel housing with a self-lubricating nylon, automatically disengaging worm and gear mechanism to eliminate overdrive.

Tilt Wand: Made of solid dear transparent polymer with round cross-section of 5/16" diameter. The tilt wand mechanism exits the bottom of the headrail via a U-shaped black or bright metal-plated steel link.

Cordless Spring Motor: Patent-pending assembly provides counter balance with sufficient sensitivity to hold slats at desired height upon release of the bottomrail. The variable force coil spring counter balances the weight of the bottom rail and slats and drives the spools that store the lift cord as the blind is raised.

Drums & Cradles: Provided with each ladder. Drums are .031" thick Tomized steel and contain acetyl polymer bushings to reduce friction. Cradles are .042" thick Tomized steel.

Installation Brackets: Consists of two interconnecting pieces, one designed for ceiling-mount applications and completely concealed within the headrail, the second interconnecting with the ceiling-mount piece to convert the bracket for use in wallmount applications.

Ladders (slat supports): Distance between slats does not exceed 19.5 mm (nominally 15.7 slats per vertical foot).

Slats: 5000 series magnesium aluminum alloy which includes recycled aluminum materials. Slats are nominally 1" wide and the thickness of the slots is nominally .0085". Coating includes DustGuard, a patented paint process which disrupts the natural static attraction of airborne dust particles, reducing dust buildup on the slat 50% to 70%. (Note: Certain Mark I finishes may not be available with the DustGuard feature. Please confirm selection with DustGuard color list.)

b. Pinlight Magic - slats are perforated with a pattern of randomly spaced .039" diameter holes, nominally 13 per inch of slat length. Slats have an openness factor of 1.5%.
c. SheerView Perforated - slats are perforated with a staggered pattern of .020" diameter holes, nominally 177 per inch of slat length. Slats have an openness factor of 6%.
